I really admire clients who have so much respect to their suppliers, and vice-versa. Doing projects such as weddings is stressful, exciting, and fun at the same time. I really want to thank Leanne for always believing in me. She's very patient, stress-free, generous, thoughtful, and understanding. More than anything else, I felt that she trusted me completely from start to finish. The "journey" to make the perfect dream wedding dress was not that perfect. There were times when I had to call her to reschedule our meetings and fittings, and she will understand.

I once told my fashion design students that being a designer is 90% hardwork and 20% glamour. Beyond the glitz and glamour of this profession is the reality that at the end of the day, our job is to make people happy by creating beautiful clothes.

First meeting with Leanne was really memorable. She mentioned that she was a fan of Project Runway Philippines Season 1, and she liked me. I was deeply flattered. ;-) Now, the real challenge was to make her dream wedding gown come true.

Kat is someone who is beautiful inside and out. I really enjoyed working with her. She is very generous! She's very patient with fittings. I told her whatever dress she would wear, I know she will look good in it. I made her a very romantic, feminine wedding gown with a modern twist. The bodice is embellished with lace, pearls, and crystals, and the skirt is made of strips of organza and tulle. I added a silk satin bow to cinched the waist and to add a feminine touch.

I "salute" brides whose vision is to be different without sacrificing unique style. Michelle is one of them. She's the sister of Tricia who was my previous client. I made Tricia's colorful debutante's gown, and some cocktail dresses for their stunning mother. ;-) More than the excitement of doing another gown for their family, I was completely happy because I knew that it's gonna be a collaboration between an artist and a fashion designer. True enough, we made it! We were both happy with the outcome! ;-)

Michelle's wedding gown is made of different layers of electric pleated silk organza skirt, an architectural draped bodice, and a structured oversize bow adorned with crystal brooches. She matched her gown with a simple short veil.

For her lovely entourage, I designed dresses with random draping techniques cinched with pleated silk satin waistbands. One major detail I love the most was the digital prints on their dresses. These are precious paintings of the bride, she wanted each dress to be memorable. Her "vow" was the print on Tricia's (Maid of Honor) dress. The feathered earrings are just perfect! Isn't it cool?!

My advice to future brides: be open to new ideas. Open your eyes. Be creative and have fun! Weddings are special occasions to be remembered forever. All you need to do is hire experienced wedding suppliers that you are comfortable to work with, and they will transform your dream wedding to a reality. And don't forget to simply have fun! ;-)

The dress arrived today and it fits perfectly I can't believe it!!!! The bodice as well as the lace fits like a glove. So very beautiful and I think you have captured the romantic feeling of northern Italy so well. We will be thinking of you on that day. Without having met me in person you have also been able to make me a dress that I think suits my personality and shape very well. Thank you for making me such a special dress. It is nearly too sad that I will only wear it once :) I will send you lots photos :)

Hello Veejay,

I just saw your Skype message - the wedding was so wonderful and everyone LOVED the dress! The Europeans were very impressed with the beadwork and there were many comments on the individual style :) Thank you for making me feel very special that day :) I will send you pictures as soon as I get them from the photographer. I hope you are enjoying your time in London and are getting lots of inspiration- it is that kind of place isn't it, despite the riots. Please stay safe! I'm really going to miss mailing with you. I was sad because there was no time to meet Rebecca personally. We did everything through Skype: fittings and meetings.. everything was done online. I was in London taking up my short course in Bridalwear when they had their wedding in Italy. She is a very sweet lady. She even gave me advice about my future plans. I will never forget her. She made me believe that if you really want to achieve something, you just need to focus and you can achieve it.

I can proudly say that Jen's dress is one of the best wedding gowns I've done ;-) It's modern, it's elegant, and most of all, it captured her personality. ;-)

This is our story.

I met Jen because Marge recommended me. (Thank you sis! haha). During the first meeting, Jen showed me A LOT of beautiful photos as pegs for her dream wedding gown. I asked her the same questions that I normally ask my clients. "What kind of bride are you? What do you like? What are the things you don't like? You want this? How about this one? Oh.. okay ;-)" I like how Jen thinks. She appreciates style (you can really say she likes something unique and "kakaiba" the way she dresses up! She's really a style icon! ;-) After a lot of meetings, she chose the final design! ;-) Yey! ;-)

As designers, sometimes, during the "process" of making the clothes, random ideas come to our minds. Things we didn't plan but it simply pops out! While doing Jen's dress, it happened to me and I thought of changing the design because I felt she deserved something better! After all, it's her special day and all I want to do is to make her happy and feel special! I texted her, "Hi Jen, how are you? Is it okay if I change the design of your gown?" And she replied quickly and said "Hi Veejay, sige, bahala ka na. I trust you!" I literally jumped!!! haha ;-)

I also made this crystal-embellished lace gloves ;-)
Her shoes is super cute!!!

My dear Veejay,

I'd like to thank you for making my dream wedding dress into a reality. It was the perfect dress for me! It made me feel very much like a princess! Thank you! Thank you! I knew I made the right choice the first time I read your blog. I was super confident in you, trusted in you 100%, not once did I make u "kulit" about my dress because I knew it would be amazing.. and it did! Who would've thought it was made in only 9 days (binagyo pa yung last day) ??! Its so beautiful, it was definitely the highlight of our wedding. :)

It's not often that you meet someone as successful as you are but who's still so down to earth, kind and very accommodating (hello u waited in the bridal car with me for an hour :p). I wish you all the best, you truly deserve it!

My design for Sylvia is a wedding gown with textured bodice: handmade flowers, embroidered lace, and ruched tulle. The skirt has different layers of silk organza with scallop trim and illusion tulle ruffles. Marvin wore a tailored black suit with silk lapel, gray vest, and a shirt with pintuck details. For the female entourage, I designed pretty jewel-toned dresses embellished with beads and crystals.

Studying in London was a dream came true. God is good. He fulfills his promises. He gives what our heart desires.

I want to share one of my favorite verses in the Bible:
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give the desires of your heart"
- Psalms 37:4

This is my photo taken at the hallway of Central Saint Martins where legendary designers walked here such as John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Hussein Chalayan, Christopher Kane, etc.. (the list goes on.. haha) And YES! It's a great honor to be included in the last batch of students in Charing Cross building because next term, they are moving to a new building in King's Cross ;-) What a great privilege to be part of it!

I studied an intensive summer course on Vintage Fashion Bridalwear. On the first day of class, my teacher told us to design and make a wedding gown.
Here are the requirements she said:
- it has to be absolutely stunning!
- it can be simple or complicated.
- there should be something new, something old, something borrowed, and something blue..

We were given enough time to do a research and be inspired. I have done a couple of wedding gowns before and this time, I challenged myself of doing something I have never done. I came up with 3 different sketches.

And this is what I made..

I wanted to achieve a look that's modern and vintage at the same time. I fused these elements and came up with this design. Getting inspiration from the silhouettes of 1920's and 1950's, I added contemporary details of a British Armour outfit. I tea-stained the fabric to give it an old rustic feel, hand sewn more than 50 panels to create the bodice, used vintage beads I got from scraps of fabrics borrowed from my professor, and added cute little blue bows at the back. The skirt is structured but soft.

I thank all my professors: Rowena, Michaela, and Lara for all the great things they have taught us. To my classmates from all over the world, thank you for the fun memories! And of course, I would like to thank Almighty God for this memorable experience I will cherish for the rest of my life! ;-)

"Toile"

A toile is a version of a garment made by a fashion designer or dressmaker to test a pattern. They are usually made in cheap material, as multiple toiles may be made in the process of perfecting a design. Toiles may be called "muslins" in the United States.

I just finished two days of my class and I'm so happy because I learned a lot. I can't wait for upcoming days to come! Their way of teaching is very advanced. I met our teachers, Ms Rowena who taught us yesterday how to make a half scaled body form that we will use as we make wedding gowns as the final requirement of the course, and Ms Lara who is a popular wedding gown designer based here in London, and has been in the business for 14 years ;-) She taught us clearly how to construct a soft bodice corset, different techniques in sewing, cutting and pattern-making, how to sew delicate fabrics, etc. We also learned different textiles for wedding gowns. The machines that they use here are amazing! I love the industrial iron board!!!! I wish we also have those equipments in Manila ;-)

It has been confirmed that Veejay Floresca is headed to the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design this August. The 26-year old fashion designer, whose silhouettes have been referred to as romantic and feminine, will be taking a course on Vintage Fashion Bridalwear over the summer at the same school attended by notable fashion designers like Stella McCartney, the late Alexander McQueen as well as our very own Mich Dulce. "It's a two week intensive program that focuses on corsets, appliqué, various fabrications and sewing techniques specializing in bridalwear," the designer shares.

Selecting CSM was an easy decision for him as he refers to it as his 'dream school', saying, "I'm really excited about this upcoming trip to London because it's the perfect city for aspiring young designers like myself. Not only is the atmosphere energetic, being at CSM will also give me the opportunity to learn and elevate my work but at the same time, allow me to meet and get to know other designers from all over the world."

After being proclaimed as the Best Up and Coming Designer at the recently concluded Fashion Asia Awards in China, Veejay is far from resting on his laurels. He knows the value of a good education, which is something he learned from his parents. "I am truly blessed. Having had the experience of working with different people on a daily basis significantly contributed to what I know [about fashion]. But I am still very young and there is so much more to learn. Bridal is something I want to focus on right now since a lot of clients have been asking me to make them something special for their big day. I really want to give these soon-to-be brides the best, knowing that their wedding is one of the most important events of their lives," he stresses.

He also mentions that he couldn't have done it without the continued encouragement of his friends and family. "I won't be at the position I'm at right now if not for the people who have supported me from the start," he declares. "My decision to leave and study again is a long term goal, and upon my return, I am confident that everything that I learn will not only be applied to my work, but will also be something that I can share with future designers as well."

If things turns out according to plan, Floresca hopes to take his Masters at CSM next year, and looks forward to representing the country. "Who knows, I might just end up showing my graduation collection during London Fashion Week and showcase our natural fabrics at its very best," he says with pride.

With the passion and determination Veejay has for his craft and for the local fashion industry, we are confident that this is just the beginning of bigger things to come.

I call her TJ.

She was our President in College of Saint Benilde Student Council and I was Legislative Council Representative for Fashion Design Program. That's where I first met TJ, through student politics! Haha!!

She is a strong woman, an achiever, a strict officer, a good leader, and I've realized she's also a loving and very sweet client.

When she told me she's getting married, I got super excited because it's really a pleasure working with friends. During our first meeting, she told me she doesn't like traditional wedding gowns. (I completely agree because TJ is a non-conformist!) She liked feathers, a black accent, volume skirt and a dramatic birdcage veil.

One of the most important things I consider when designing a gown is the "silhouette." The shape of the gown should "flatter" the bride's body. Simple rule: "Hide your flaws, show your assets."

I thank TJ for being very patient. Usually, my bride comes to me for 3-4 fittings, but TJ had 7 fittings! I had to redesign her bodice 3 times until I finally hit the right spot! ;-) Designing a wedding gown is not easy, but as a designer, all I want is nothing but the best for my brides. After all, it's their wedding, a significant event to remember forever.

All of them are based in Sydney but decided to get married in Boracay.

After my trip to Melbourne last year, I flew to Sydney to meet them and my other couple (getting married this November in Shangri-la Mactan.)

I'm truly grateful to Anne, Anthony, the lovely girls, their families, and of course, special thank you to Ms Tess (Anne's mom) for trusting me! It was not easy, but the experience was worth-it! ;-)

The first time I saw Ciara and Armand, I already had a clear vision for them: "Modern Elegance."

I was very happy because they're just perfect for each other, a beautiful bride, and a handsome groom.

It was easy working with this lovely couple. They allowed me to do my job and just be creative. I asked them about their likes and dislikes.. but they just said "Bahala ka na, Veejay.."

And these were the exact words I told them: "Ok, sige. Ako ng bahala, just trust me! Basta dapat bongga and maganda!" I made a couple of sketches on-the-spot, and they chose their favorite designs. It was really a fun experience!

Ciara and Armand, thank you very much for trusting me! I miss both of you and I hope to see you soon! ;-)

Con's wedding gown is a fusion of romance and contemporary elegance. I used French lace to highlight the bodice and embellished it with Japan cut beads, pearls, and Swarovski crystals. Layers of bias cut organza were used for the skirt. For a traditional touch at the back, I added a bouquet of handmade flowers, mesh ribbons, feathers, and a very long detachable split train ;-)

For her entourage, I designed simple draped goddess gowns in old rose color with cust0m-made crystal brooch accents.

The flower girls wore pretty dresses with embellished necklines made of rosettes and ribbons.

The groom and the ring bearer wore a 4-piece ensemble tailored suit made of imported wool fabric.

It was a memorable experience working with Con and Carlo ;-)

Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day! I will be forever grateful for your trust and support to young designers like me! ;-)

I was very happy to have worked with Cathy. She's adorable!

You know i don't quite know how to thank you... these two words mean more to me than just appreciation... Appreciation for your work, your talent, your patience, trust, and your kindness...and it's just simply YOU. It's the whole package. THANK YOU.

A wedding gown is probably the single most awaited, most planned/OBSESSED about, most glamorous, NAKAKA SEXY-est!, heavygatness, most expensive gown, and most photographed in a girl's life and sadly though, a girl only wears it once in her life...So a designer/dress maker is very crucial to a girl's special day...because it's the one day where everyone's eyes is on the bride...I was soo right for trusting you wholeheartedly Veejay. THANK YOU.

On our last fitting, di ko pa alam ang outcome ng skirt ko, basta alam ko lang sabi mo madaming "madaming tulle, na gagawin mong bonggang bongga!" Honestly, i tried so hard not to obssess about it... I only saw my gown on the day of the wedding... I only caught a glimpse of it when your assistants brought it out for pictorial,it made my heart beat a little faster...but when i got the chance to fully appreciate it, you know, it literally took my breath away...It was more beautiful than i could have ever imagined it to be...Everyone complimented my gown and people kept asking who made my it, but the compliment i cared most about came from my groom. I Thank God that i came across such a wonderful, young, fun, talented and super bait na designer like you, and I, Thank you Veejay for making me such a beautiful bride and for making JR such a proud groom.. I know you'll come a long way, what with that heart and mind of yours, it's a sure thing. I also know that you'll stay grounded, no matter where the stars take you... Fresa.. a very unique name!

I still remember how I met her. We had our first meeting at Starbucks, Powerplant Mall. I forgot to bring my sketch pad that time, so I did rough sketches on my notebook. ;-)

She works as a flight attendant in an international airline. In short, scheduling a fitting with her was a bit challenging, but I was wrong! She was very organized. She will advise me her flight details in advance, dates of arrival, etc. The over-all work was really fun and exciting!

I'm truly blessed to have her as one of my brides. She's an amazing woman! Humble, thoughtful, understanding, appreciative, and sweet. She gave me a gift last Christmas (beauty products! haha) but what I liked the most was a cute small card with a cute cover, and her lovely message that made me cry (almost!) haha.. I'm so senti! haha

To Mike and Fresa,

Thank you for everything. It was not work actually.. it was more of bonding! I'm very happy I've found true friends! See u soon! I'm still hoping I will see u in one of my trips! haha.. I dont know how or when, but when it happens, upgrade me in business class ah! hahaha ;-)

My wedding in Melbourne, Australia.

The couple invited me to go there last year to discuss the designs of the wedding gown, Jackie’s entourage, moms’ gowns, and principal sponsors’ gowns. I also got their measurements and showed them the fabrics.. We all had fun and we were all excited! ;-)

At first, I wasn’t sure if I should accept this or not.

BUT

I trust God.

Guess what??? Everything went well. During the fitting of the prototype which I sent her via FedEx, the fitting was perfect! ;-) We had a “Skype online fitting!:” bongga!

After a couple of months, I sent all the clothes in advance, and praise God, they all liked it.

Too bad I wasn’t able to come on their wedding day. The couple invited me again but I’ve had prior commitments already :-(

I just watched this video today and everything became fresh to me. I missssssssssss them so much! I promise myself to come back and see all of them again!

My trip to Melbourne is one of the most happiest moments of my life!

Good day! It's been a year now since I started checking your wedding blog regularly. I am a fan of yours, your gowns are sooo beautiful. I would even imagine myself wearing one of your gowns..looking great and sexy in your gown (I'm overweight kasi..hehehe).

I really love your gowns! I'm always in awe everytime you have a new post and I can't help it but be jealous over your brides because I can't afford you anymore ='(..hehe..

I was so excited preparing for my wedding, and booked great suppliers. I even planned of setting an appointment with you before, but I started booking other suppliers first and has forgotten about my gown. then, we realized that we're already over our budget (sigh) and can't afford you anymore . I must say, I regreted not booking you first.

But anyways..ganun talaga ang buhay..but that won't stop me admiring you and your works! hehe..I will continue to visit your blog, and dream of you as my couturier..=)

Buds and Emil

Did you know that "Buds" real name is "Judy Ann Santos"? :-)

My atelier was still being renovated when Buds and Emil came to talk about their wedding. Judy Ann or Buds (her friends call her that! such a cute nickname) is one of my most relaxed, no-worry, easy-brides I've worked with; while Emil is a lawyer.

Design process: We revised the sketches 3 times! haha! The first one was a strapless gown with bias cut ruffles. The second one was one-shoulder lace bodice with intricate uneven chiffon and lace cut out details for the skirt. And finally, the third one was an embroidered bodice with frou-frou skirt made of hand sewn fabric cut-outs!

1st fitting: She didn't miss any fitting without her cute emerald green shoes! When she tried on the prototype, its kinda lose because she lost weight!

2nd fitting: When she tried on the base, omg! for some reasons, the base was too tight! we can't close the zipper! accckkk! (maybe the sewer tighten it so much) But instead of adjusting it, we both decided to just lower the back more! ;-) haha!

3rd fitting: actual fitting! hmmm.. the fitting is "almost perfect" except the gown is 1 inch tight! But Buds was very persistent and told me not to alter it anymore because she's very determined to lose more weight!

Wedding day: Voila! "the gown fits her like a glove!"

I also did the suit of Emil and the green flowy gowns of the entourage ;-)

It was my first time to visit Santiago, Isabela! I had fun! ;-)

Maribelle is a gem! I love working with her! Very relaxed and full of excitement!

She's a bride based in the United States who came here in Manila months before her wedding to prepare for the big day! Working with her was not really hard at all! Like what most brides do, she showed me pegs/photos of gowns she liked. However, she allowed me to do my own take! She wanted a modern, romantic and feminine wedding gown. I thought of something raw, unfinished, tattered but clean and polished! I used shredded fabrics for her skirt and 3D embroidered bodice. And to follow her request for a dramatic back, I did a "cherry blossom" inspired pattern at the back of her gown!

As of now, her wedding entourage was the most "RUSH" order I've had in my 4 years of designing! hahaha! I made all the dresses of her beautiful entourage for..............................3 days! YES! That's true! The girls sent me wrong measurements ;-( So instead of doing major repair, I've decided to just wait for them to arrive. God is good all the time! I would like to thank Him for guiding me. During the first fitting, there was NO REPAIR! Very, very minimal! Cheers to that! ;-) Her girls wore elegant cherry red dresses! Very Valentino shade of red! haha ;-) "to match the red lipstick of the bride that I realllyyyyyyyyyy love!"

Top 3 reasons why I love Joy! :-)

1. She is sooooooo nice! again, sooooooo nice! Her smile can make your stress go away. She is very optimistic, polite, sweet and she will tell you her requests in a very kind way that it's gonna be hard for you to say no! haha but kidding aside, she is a perfect example of a bride who knows exactly what she wants but trusts her designer very well.

2. When she told me that I'm not only me who's going to do her wedding gown, this was my reaction.. "WHAT? Really? Who else? Exciting!"

Jihan is a sweetheart! I adore her! She's stunning!

She's the youngest bride I've ever had so far.

When I first met her at Teena's office, she told me that the theme of her wedding was "Vintage Glamour" So immediately I thought of feathers, lace, fascinators, crystals.. and of course, a NOT WHITE wedding gown!

Another thing that came to my mind was the idea to make her look "womanly.." than "girly.."

Her gorgeous girls wore simple draped dresses in dove gray color with vintage brooch accents matched with super cute fascinators! And the cute flower girls in their ruffled dresses! ;-)

Her wedding gown is made of a delicate French lace bodice with minimal beading and electric pleated bias skirt. For her entourage, yellow and gray jersey dresses with colored brooch accents. For Ian, tailored crisp linen suit.

It's a loooooong story! haha.. I got a text from Lorenz, one of the sweetest wedding coordinators I've met and he asked me if I can do this project. How can I say no? In Project Runway Philippines I can do a wedding gown for 2 days! LOL! But seriously, before I accepted this job, I consulted my team first if they can do it! and they said YES! :-) Spell OVERTIME! haha.. lots of sleepless nights! but ITS ALL WORTH IT! ;-)

Rhia is one of the sweetest brides I've worked with. Everytime she comes for her fitting, we always have a good time making kwento.. chikahan.. and just enjoying the experience.. This is one thing i'm gonna miss about her.. she's really mabait! super :-)

She's a very busy doctor. I remember when we had our first meeting via YM! hahaha.. sharing of photos.. pictures and sketches ;-) I considered the 3 most important things she told me.
1. She wanted a wedding gown that is conservative. Not sexy! (pero she's sexy ah..)
2. She didn't want a long train. "yung parang pang Oscar's red carpet lang.." she said..
3. And lastly, she described her ideal wedding gown as something that's not over the top, sleek, and modern but still classic..

She wore a wedding gown made of french lace bodice with minimal beadworks.. A skirt made of strips of ribbons.. and a champagne colored satin sash :-)

As a fashion designer, i believe it's a great accomplishment to put up a full collection :-) Last Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010 (we dont have Fall/Winter) I have presented a complete 30pc collection inspired by the iconic statue of "Venus de Milo."

The collection was composed of dresses, separates such as pants, skirts, draped blouses and flowy silk gowns.

I do wedding gowns (super like) and my signature white finale is always my tribute to all the brides.

Part of my collection can be also used as dresses for the entourage as well ;-) something that's really modern, edgy, unique and wearable!

Simple, feminine, class, elegant and timeless. These are the words I had in mind when I designed the wedding gown of my dear client, Tricel. The moment I saw her, I immediately noticed her proportioned body and beautiful face. She’s blessed with these characteristics and I know she can pull of something that’s modern and contemporary. But when I asked her about what she likes, I immediately get rid of the other idea but focused on “her” as the main inspiration.. I made her a wedding gown that’s very “her”: simple, feminine, class, elegant and timeless. ;-)

Raquel is super duper nice :-) she knows what she likes.. i admire her so much.. successful.. an epitome of an empowered woman!

I can still remember when we had our first meeting. She asked me to design her wedding gown and her theme was "modern filipinana.." not the typical, something contemporary and very feminine.. and i really liked the challenge! :-) Instead of the typical off shoulder neckline, i made her a loose structured band made of silk pina.. ruched bodice with side panels made of callado with handmade embroidery.. and the elaborate skirt had ____ (a lot haha) yards of organdy.. she also requested to have a very dramatic back detail: a corsage of handmade flowers made of mikado silk with ostrich feathers! :-)

..and to complete the look, i told her to find a super nice vintage hair accessory and when i saw what she got, i couldn't say anything but "I LOVE IT!"

Bernadette is an example of someone who is sweet, patient, kind, modest and "no worries" bride. I can still remember her first email about her wedding entourage.. Doon pa lang, nabaitan na tlga ako sa kanya.. Ms Veluz did her wedding gown and i was so happy to be part of her wedding day by designing the dresses for her entourage.. and btw i also did her engagement party dress! ;-)

I basically designed simple and elagant dresses for her entourage and some of the guests. That's what she liked. Luxe simplicity. No embellishments. Since the concept of her wedding is "eco-friendly," I decided to focus on the colors that would represent nature: green and blue..

"I admire humble people. I don't easily get impressed with the wealth, the fame, or even the wits. Talent is crucial but for me, it is not the gauge of how good a person is. That's why I love Veejay Floresca. At 24, he is already on top of the ladder; in the pinnacle of his career. Very fresh. Very new. Very exciting. The talk of the town. But he isn't blinded by the flashes of lights nor the zenith of his success.

In his blog, Veejay relayed his story, his father who despite the challenges in life managed to be a lawyer. They were able to go to reputable schools because his parents strived hard to give them good education. He wanted to pursue law to follow the footsteps of his beloved father but just like a blessing in disguise, fate took a different turn and he landed his feet in CSB, a scholar of fashion design.

When talent is innate, it shouts from within, ready to explode, wanting to be free and run wild. After college, Veejay's unbelievable talent made him head designer at Accent & Details, a clothing shop, where he learned the ABCs of client servicing and the business visage of fashion. A wardrobe stylist is someone who selects the clothes for published editorial features. Stylists are often part of a larger creative team assembled by the client, collaborating with the fashion designer, photographer, director, hair stylist and makeup artist to put together a particular look or theme for the specific project.

I enjoyed working with Sef. Yes, she is super duper OC about her wedding gown.. we had 3 to 5 revisions (im talking about the sketches.. haha) until we came up with the final design! All she was asking for is a fairy-tale inspired wedding gown..

On the prototype fitting, i made her smile..

On the second fitting, i made her laugh!

On her wedding day.. i made her happy ;-)

BUT I'm happier! :-)

The moment I got a call from Teena Barretto, (she is the wedding coordinator) and she was asking for an appointment for Rica's wedding (we call her Carla) I immediately felt the excitement. As a young designer, it has always been my dream to dress up celebrities that i really admire! And Rica is one of them. I'm a fan! My unforgettable movie scene she did that i super love is yung hinahabol sya ng aswang tapos pumasok sya sa van and her legs got scratches!! Super sigaw ako that time! TGIS!!!! ;-) And i told her that! :-)

The whole experience was worth-it! I was very blessed to be part of a wedding that honors God more than anything else..

I am extremely blessed!

First, I would like to thank God for all the blessings He gave me.

I am just a young designer, dreaming that someday, i will have my own atelier for my dearest clients.. And last night, I just dedicated my new atelier to God. Thank you to our dear Pastora Beng for coming to share God's words and lead the dedication/blessing of my business to our Heavenly Father. Thank u also to my bible study/connect groupmates for coming to celebrate with me.. ;-) I have learned that we are all stewards of God. Everything is his property.. It's from him.. we just need to take good care of all the things he gave us and share it to other people.. Praise God!

I can still remember the days when I started meeting clients at starbucks, coffee shops, malls.. Then, i worked for my friend and he was so generous to share his office with me.. then i rented an apartment and transformed the sala set into an office.. And now, I have a separate space for my valued clients ;-)

I am very happy for all the inquiries that I have been getting from future brides and clients.. debuts, weddings, special events, and most especially, kind and sweet messages that inspire me more.. Thank you so much for showing interest and for trusting me :-)

And a lot of my friends who weren't at the wedding, but saw our photos, were in awe of the dress. It was a beautiful wedding gown, Veejay, I really couldn't be happier. It wasn't over the top, it displayed just the right amount of oomph, I would say. Thank you for making me feel like a million bucks on my wedding day. It was hard to maneuver, I can tell you that haha, but with all the oohs and aahs it merited, I'd say it was definitely worth it.
